These are hard times, but I am here to support you.
Many behavioral healthcare professionals (this includes therapists) continue to follow physical distancing recommendations. The majority of therapists are providing online therapy or phone counseling. For many therapists this is a new experience. I have only provided therapy services via online or video. I am a Board-Certified Telehealth Professional Level II (certification obtained via Telebehavioral Health Institute, Inc/telehealth.org/certified). You can trust the fact that you will receive ethical and professional online therapy services from me.
I recognize that most people's lives have changed dramatically over the past year and it seems like there is no end in sight for this virus. Luckily we now have a vaccine in place, but this is not an immediate solution. We still having to practice social distancing and wear our masks. Many of you continue to balance childcare or care of loved ones with the demands of working from home. Some of you may not be working at all and are struggling financially.
If your place of employment or source of income continues to be affected by the corona virus and you will struggle to pay my full fee, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. We can talk about your financial situation and I will be more than willing to negotiate a reduced rate for you. I want to be as flexible as possible. I am also a part of the Open Path Psychotherapy Collective (www.openpathcollective.org).
Most major insurance companies that would otherwise not allow online therapy or telephonic counseling, continue to cover online therapy and phone therapy, so that's one less thing that you have to worry about.
