These are scary times, but I am here to support you. Schedule an appointment now.
I know that these are uncertain and stressful times for you and your loved ones. It seems that new reports about rising cases of the COVID-19 virus or deaths is occurring daily. During these extraordinary times, we are all facing unprecedented circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. You may be experiencing fear, anxiety and even grief as plans are canceled and daily routines are completely shifted. You may have had someone in your own family die from this horrible virus.
Behavioral Healthcare professionals have been advised to follow physical distancing recommendations, limiting our contact with others as much as possible. Luckily, you still have the option to get the help that you need to reduce your stress, anxiety, and fear. The majority of therapists are now seeing clients via online therapy. For many therapists this is a new experience. I have only provided therapy services via online for over a year. I am also a Certified Advanced Telebehavioral Health Provider (certification obtained via Telebehavioral Health Institute, Inc). You can trust the fact that you will receive ethical and professional online therapy services from me.
I recognize that most people's lives have changed dramatically and it seems like there is no end in sight for this virus. Some are balancing childcare or care of loved ones with the demands of working from home. Many of you may be struggling with the decision of send your children back to school. Some of you may not be working at all and are struggling financially. With social distancing or "physical distancing" in place, you may share a home with people who are adding to your stress or anxiety. Boy, I so feel your pain!!!.
If your place of employment or source of income has been affected and you will struggle to pay my full fee, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. We can talk about your financial situation and I will negotiate a reduced rate. I am also a part of the Open Path Psychotherapy Collective. I may also be able to work with you "pro bono", which means for free.
Most major insurance companies that would otherwise not allow online therapy or telephonic counseling, have agreed to cover online therapy and phone therapy on a temporary basis, so that's one less thing that you have to worry about.
I want to be as flexible as possible as I know this is a crucial time for all of us to maintain some sense of normalcy, to get support when we are isolated, and to continue to enhance our strengths that impact our resiliency.
Please try to reduce your time watching or listening to all the news on COVID-19. I would suggest getting your updates from the CDC or your state government website. You can easily access the CDC's website by clicking on this link https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
